I’m Colin Hattersley, an Edinburgh-based award-winning photographer. I provide press, public relations, corporate and arts & entertainment photography services.
From my Edinburgh base I work throughout Scotland, across the UK and internationally. I have been a professional photographer for over 15 years. And I’ve won awards.
But laurels can become wreaths if you rest on them for too long. There’s no room for complacency. I still have fresh ideas. I am quick to grasp the aim of each assignment, whether part of a campaign, securing media coverage or capturing the atmosphere at an event. I bring the benefit of extensive experience but I don’t make any assumptions.
As a freelance photographer who works for the press I know the image can be the story. I have great contacts with the national and local media and regularly contribute to The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, the Edinburgh Evening News, The Times and the Times Educational Supplement. And I am published in the Sunday Times, Sunday Herald, The Big Issue, The List and various leading magazine titles.
